With over 150 years of experience, Homefield Prep has a proven record of preparing boys for the next stage of their education. Our rich and diverse curriculum, specialist teaching and individualised support go well beyond national expectations, enabling boys to achieve their full potential and secure places at their family’s first-choice secondary schools.

Our results speak for themselves. Over the past five years (2022-2026), our boys have received 120 offers to selective local grammar schools, with 50% of Year 6 boys gaining at least one grammar school place. At the same time, families have the reassurance of a wealth of independent school offers, with 327 places awarded to top senior schools in London and Surrey.

Scholarship success is another hallmark of a Homefield education. In 2025, our boys achieved 24 external scholarships across Academic, Music, Sport and Art, with a further 10 scholarships awarded in 2026. Over the last five years, this totals an impressive 100 scholarships, reflecting the breadth of talent nurtured at our school.

The ambitious, yet inclusive, environment and the focus on self-motivation prepares pupils effectively and successfully to sit assessment tests for entrance into a range of selective senior schools.

The transition process is carefully guided by our staff. Boys and parents are supported throughout the process, from consultation meetings and guidance for families to mock assessments, reasoning lessons and interview preparation for the boys, ensuring every child finds the school that is right for him.
